VAL VEGA is a polymath artist and filmmaker whose work moves fluidly between music, film and visual culture. Her distinct creative voice has made its mark on the Latin urban music scene, where she has directed music videos for some of the world’s most influential Latin artists, including Young Miko, Feid, Rawayana, and RaiNao.
As a creative director, Val has led the visual evolution of artists building cohesive worlds and identities that extend far beyond the music itself.
Her work also reaches some of the most ambitious live productions in contemporary Latin music. Val directed the Spydercam team for Bad Bunny’s Amazon Prime live recording, contributing to a landmark production viewed by audiences around the world.
In 2022, Val wrote and directed MELAO, a short film set in 1950s Puerto Rico. The film follows a sugarcane cutter who, driven by desperation and devotion to his family, enters a dangerous gamble with irreversible consequences. MELAO premiered at HollyShorts in 2024 before finding a new life online, becoming a viral phenomenon following its YouTube release in 2026.
